The Ferno Aquaboard was designed to rescue casualties with suspected spinal injuries from swimming pools.  Requiring four lifeguards to operate, it allows casualties to be carefully immobilised and extracted from the water whilst minimising the risk of causing any further injury.  The board can also be used in salt-water rescue.
